Each year, the United States loses an estimated one million acres of forest due to climate change. Natural Resources Conservancy is a nonprofit that believes that land conservation is one of the most important endeavors that can be done to ensure the safety and sustainability of our planet. Ecosystems that are protected by land conservation can provide benefits such as clean air, extreme weather mitigation, pollination of crops, and animal habitat preservation.

Last year Natural Resources Conservancy worked with private landowners and partnerships to protect over 6,500 acres of land in the United States. Our organization is positioned to put more than 10,000 acres of land into conservation easements in the year 2022. NRC works with private landowners, and partnerships to identify, enhance and protect important undeveloped or inappropriately developed lands and prohibit incompatible land uses through a variety of conservation tools. NRC provides training and consulting services on land conservation techniques, such as conservation easements, to protect open lands and preserve natural or cultural resources. In addition to the satellite services we utilize for monitoring, we also conduct annual site visits with boots on the ground to assess that all guidelines in the easements are being upheld.
